Ripley and Send as a whole are surrounded by miles of open countryside, much of which is almost on the doorstep, where you can walk along footpaths and waterways and a few minutes drive will take you out into the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are train stations at Clandon and Woking, the latter of which will see you reaching Waterloo in roughly 25 minutes.
