Located in the centre of the bustling, cosmopolitan high street, our Teddington branch is a busy office managed by fitness enthusiast Rob Gutcher. So when it came to thinking up new ideas in one of their recent daily sales meetings, Rob and the team decided that Curchods bikes would be the perfect way to help them stay fit, avoid the traffic and add to a wider company initiative to make Curchods more eco-friendly.
This was a fantastic idea as it will allow the staff to be super-efficient with their time – by simply hopping on a bike they can now arrive at properties for sale in the town within just a few minutes.
When you sell your property with Curchods, not only do our entire team visit your property so they can personally sell its appeal to prospective buyers, but we also promise to conduct 100% of the viewings with prospective buyers to save you time and give you a better chance of securing a buyer with our expert sales staff present.
On average, the staff in our Teddington branch travel up to 250 miles every month on viewings, valuation appointments and team visits. The introduction of the Curchods bicycles will help us dramatically reduce this mileage and make a significant impact on reducing our carbon footprint, something we are incredibly keen to focus on as a company.
Of course, the safety of our staff is our primary concern so we have also equipped them with the latest top of the range safety equipment.

If you spot the bikes around town, be sure to take a moment to appreciate the unique duplex-tube frame which gives a comfortable ride and unmistakable style. The rear carrier affords our staff storage room for property details to take on viewings, whilst the frame-mounted name board ensures these Curchods bikes are unmissable as they travel the streets of Teddington and beyond.
Listen out for the bell, which sounds an elegant ‘ding-dong’ to politely let pedestrians know we are arriving.
Whilst the reflectors to the front, rear, pedal and tyres help to keep Rob and the team safer on the road. Robust tyres with a secure tread design and an inner SmartGuard layer made from a flexible, special rubber offers extra puncture resistance around town and the reflective band around the circumference of the tyre walls provide additional visibility after darkness.
No one wants a dirty or rain splashed estate agent arriving at their property, so corrosion-resistant painted steel mudguards have been fitted, designed to withstand the bumps and potholes of everyday use and to protect our staff from mud and water splashes.
Enclosed and sealed from all weathers, the low maintenance hub brakes and gears are long-lasting and robust and provide excellent stopping power come rain or shine. And, a streamlined chainguard protects against greasy oil marks and helps prevent attire from catching in the chain.
A traditional Brooks B67 sprung leather saddle made from aged natural leather with elegant tie detailing, keeps the derrieres of all Curchods team members suitably cushioned, whilst soft touch cork grips ensure the bikes are comfortable to ride – a very important feature!
