Shepperton Lock: Shepperton to Weybridge Ferry

Originally built in 1813, Shepperton Lock was installed to improve navigation of the River Thames. A boatyard near the lock runs a ferry every 15 minutes over the River Thames to Weybridge, this service has run for more than 500 years allowing people to continue their journey along the River Thames, past Shepperton Lock without being diverted down the River Wey.
