Curchods Ottershaw office has continued to maintain unprecedented levels of sales throughout the summer and into the autumn as the migration out of London persists and buyer demographics continue to change.
As we enter the autumn market, whilst the fervent scramble to move within a financial deadline is no longer present, we are speaking to many buyers keen to move before Christmas; whilst others have more flexible timelines allowing them to move into the new year. Values are holding up well and all the signs are for a stable and buoyant market ahead.
We have also seen a marked increase in new first time buyers, partly due to monthly mortgage repayments frequently being cheaper than a monthly rental and also thanks to continuing benefit from incentives such as being exempt from stamp duty up to £300,000 and Government-backed low deposit mortgage schemes.
With the Stamp Duty Holiday officially now at an end, one might have expected the property market to take a dip. However, nothing could be further from reality and we continue to be incredibly busy selling houses in the village.
In summary, now is an excellent time to sell your home, as the autumn market really kicks into gear. So, if you are thinking of moving, contact Jonathan and his team or your local Cuchods branch for an up-to-date marketing appraisal of your property.
