Turnoak Avenue is quiet no through road on the outskirts of central Woking within a short walk of the town centre and its excellent commuter station. Just across the road from the house is not only Woking Leisure Centre and the Pool in the Park but also the David Lloyd health and fitness club. As a town, Woking has come a long way in recent years and is now a busy and contemporary centre that has an interesting collection of bars and restaurants as well as a renowned theatre in the Peacocks Shopping centre along with a newly renovated multi-screen cinema. At one end of Commercial Way the newly opened Victoria Square development has brought a flagship Marks and Spencer to Woking while the adjacent Hilton Hotel is due to open in due course, complete with a sky bar. The station runs a service into Waterloo that takes about 25 minutes and from here there is also a very efficient coach service to Heathrow Airport. There are great schools both state and private in and around Woking along with numerous other leisure facilities and wide open spaces of common land.
