Metro Apartments was originally built in 2007 and is positioned just of the west side of the with everything the town has to offer in close proximity, plus the convenience of a supermarket practically at your doorstep. As a town Woking has been subject to a transformation in recent years taking on a far more contemporary look/feel, with the most recent development (Victoria Place complete with flagship M&S store, Hilton hotel featuring a skybar with spectacular surrounding views) being the biggest example of this, plus with further plans in the pipeline. Its mainline railway station is what makes it such a desirable destination and known for being a commuter town. Originally opened in the 1830's and being a junction where three lines converge, it offers direct services to: London Waterloo, Basingstoke, Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton, and Bournemouth making it the busiest station in Surrey. There is also an abundance of outdoor space to explore, with access to the Basingstoke canal close by, Horsell common not far away, and Woking parking with its local leisure centre and swimming pool just a short walk away.
