Strathcona Gardens is part of the favoured Brookwood Manor development, where the houses have always proved to be very popular, thanks in part to their well-planned, practical accommodation and also the convenience of the location as a whole. Across the road is Brookwood Country Park, which offers lovely walks through ponds and grassy areas, or along the Basingstoke Canal. Just along the road, there is a Sainsbury's superstore and a large Homebase, both of which are a short walk away, while an equally easy drive will take you into Knaphill village, where there is a collection of local shops and restaurants. When you need something more comprehensive, the centre of Woking is within easy reach. Woking has a theatre, multi-screen cinema and what is widely regarded as one of the best commuting rail stations that can be found in the south east of England, running into Waterloo in approximately 25 minutes. In and around the area, there are excellent golf courses and schools catering for all ages.
